| This policy contains important information about your personal information. All information that you provide to us, through the online registration form or e-mail requests for further information, will be dealt with as provided for in this policy.
Embanet is the online education partner of Boston University. Embanet requires a certain amount of information from prospective students and/or persons requesting further information about its online programs in order to respond to your queries, assess and evaluate your suitability for enrolling in the online program, and, if you decide to enroll in program, evaluating your enrollment application. Further, in the event you are accepted into the program, the personal information you have previously provided will be used to provide services to you, including your participation in the online program, and to establish, maintain and manage our relationship with you.
For the purposes of this policy, personal information is any information about an identifiable individual, other than the person's business title or business contact information when used or disclosed for the purpose of business communications.
We collect and maintain different types of personal information. This includes:
- contact and identification information, such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address;
- information concerning your education history, including degrees granted and Universities attended and employment history;
- application information relating to Programs, including credit information for payment of application or deposit fees; and
- business relationship information including information related to your preferences, feed-back and information requested by or provided to you.
Embanet does not sell or rent any of your personal information to any third party. However, if you have applied to an online program, we will disclose personal information to Boston University to the extent necessary to provide you with the relevant services. We may also disclose your personal information where required to do so by law.
