A Day in the Life of an MCJ Student

No one said juggling work, school and a family was going to be easy. Here is how Rick, an online MCJ student is trying to achieve the balance.

Typical Schedule for:
Rick Stillman, Chief of Police, Walpole, MA

Weekdays
6:00 am - 7:15 am
Read paper, have coffee, drive youngest son to school.
7:45 am - 5:00 pm
Meetings, budgets, personnel issues, grant management, program development, community meetings, etc.
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Dinner, spend time with wife and kids.
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Workout.
8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Read assignments, write discussion, study material.

Weekends
7:00 am - 9:00 am
Read paper, have coffee, clean home.
9:00 am - 10:00 am
Long run.
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Study, read, write assignments, generally catch up from weekdays.
12:00 pm until bedtime Family time and/or spend time with friends.
